Important Benefits of Staging a Home For Sale

February 10, 2018

staging a home for saleImagine walking into a fully furnished home with pictures on the wall, flowers on the table, and color-coded accessories that enhance the room. When home buyers walk through a home, they imagine living there. They picture their furniture and accessories in different places of the home. When you start to consider selling a home in the Metro Denver area, contact me, a Denver Realtor. As an expert Real Estate Agent, I will help you get the best value on your home. To begin, let’s look at why it’s a good idea to prepare your home for the sale. Here are the benefits of staging a home for sale.

A Staged Home Will Sell Itself

According to the National Association of REALTORS®, thirty-two percent of agents’ buyers believe that staged homes increase the value buyers will offer by one percent to five percent. A neat and nicely decorated home will often sell itself.

Remove Clutter to Increase Visual Appeal

You want to organize as much space as possible in your home in order for home buyers to see what they’re purchasing. Walking into a home with a lot of clutter is like walking into a department store shopping the clearance rack during a Black Friday sale. Items are unorganized and it’s hard to find what you’re looking for.

When homeowners remove personal items such as blankets on the couch, trays, books lying around, and collectables, they allow home buyers to view the home as if it were their own.

Make Your Home Stand Out

A home that looks like an interior designer styled it will stand out above the rest. And since home buyers look at multiple homes for sale, you want your home to be the one that will receive an offer. Adding pillows, flowers, and pictures are just a few items that will make it visually appealing. You will have an easier time finding home buyers who are actively looking to make an offer with a beautifully decorated home.
