The Southmoor Park neighborhood is located west of I-25, whereas the Southmoor Park East neighborhood actually surrounds the park called Southmoor Park. And Southmoor Park South refers to the area south and east of Southmoor Park East. Collectively known as Southmoor, this area of Denver is unique in that it has many suburban-style homes while still in the city of Denver. Located near I-25 & I-225, it is positioned well for commuting through side streets or I-25 into the Denver Tech Center, and via I-25 north into downtown or via I-225 northeast to Aurora and Denver International Airport. The Southmoor Park, park, and Rosamond Park are good-sized parks that add to the lifestyle of nearby residents. There is quite a bit of shopping nearby, notably the Happy Canyon, Tiffany Plaza, Tamarac, and Goldsmith shopping centers, which include Whole Foods, nearby King Soopers, Target, and for those uber computer folks, MicroCenter. Southmoor Elementary and Thomas Jefferson High Schools are in the neighborhood.
