About Lakewood, Colorado
Located in Jefferson County, Lakewood is the fifth-largest city in metro Denver and is situated between Denver and the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. It covers an area of approximately 44 square miles and has an estimated population of 155,000 per the 2020 U.S. Census. Its elevation is about 5,520 feet above sea level, slightly making it one of the higher-elevation cities in the Denver metro area.
