Quick Recap of the 2022 Denver Real Estate Market

2022 was a very active year for me in Denver real estate. The Denver real estate market in 2022 was intense, fast, constantly changing, and not for the faint of heart. I referred to it as combat by contract during the Spring, which I believe was the most competitive housing market Denver has ever seen. I was the #1 agent for residential home sales in Denver County for April and May 2022 combined (#1 in May, #2 in April). (🙏I don’t view this from a place of ego, but rather from the satisfaction of being able to provide meaningful value to my clients and appreciation for the trust they put in me and the useful insights I gained from the experience. Which I apply when helping new clients.)

We saw mortgage interest rates increase from 3% to 7%, a spike not seen in 40 years. We felt the breaks hit in May, and the market noticeably shifted to a cool tone in June. What was once a super hot market for sellers virtually turned into a cool market overnight. Hooray, Federal Reserve, you can waive your Mission Accomplished banner as our heads fly forward and back with market whiplash.
